We've had this mug for about 2 years and it still looks brand new. I didn't put it in the dishwasher for the first year, then of course my husband did and it's still perfect.

I was excited because I ordered the other mugs, too. This is the only mug I've had a problem with. I got them for Christmas gifts, but now have to find something else. The paint looked like it was chipping, so I scratched at it very minimally, and a large section of paint came off. Definitely won't be buying anymore of these :(
