The buttons allow the cape to come off for the wash or if you don't want to strangle yourself to death during sleep, which is a nice feature. Just a great product!

My son wanted us to have matching PJ's so when I finally gave in and bought us Superman PJ's for him and a Superman nightshirt for me. When we got it in the mail he wore this for a week straight and of course so did I. lol. I loved that it had buttons to attach the cape but wish it came in adult sizes. This is a great product, well made..
