Unlike Iron Man, this t-shirt is 100% cotton soft! Iron Man originally wanted to make his suit made of silk velvet, but he realized that it didn't provide much in terms of projectile mitigation. Plus it was really hard to sew all of those electric components for the repulsor technology into the fabric without totally ruining the look. Poor Iron Man...he was almost in a position to have a really breathable and extremely comfortable costume. Of course his name wouldn't have been Iron Man at that point; he would have been Snuggles Stark; the Silken Striker. Thank somebody that he decided to go with the iron look, because we wouldn't have a great shirt like the Iron Man Face Plate Eye T-Shirt to show off! He's way more intimidating like this. Trust me.
