This Atom Showcase Presents T-Shirt features the cover from the DC comics Showcase Presents issue 34. This is the first appearance of the new Atom, Ray Palmer. Showcase Presents by DC Comics kicked off the silver age renaissance of superhero comics with the reinvention of the Flash, and issue 34 updated the Atom into the modern age (well modern is kind of relative, really) of scientific super guys, shrinking down to atomic, sub-atomic, sub-under-atomic levels.
