HULK Movie was GREAT! But expensive…
I haven’t seen it yet, but I trust my buddie’s judgment. Here’s what he had to say.
“Yeah, the Hulk is definitely worth seeing in the theatre. See Iron Man first, though, that’s a definite. Hulk is maybe 80% as good as Iron Man but that’s good enough, and I’d say 100% better - no, 200% better - than the first movie. Because it stayed really true to the Ultimates.
Unfortunately it cost me hundreds of dollars to go see it, not just the $47 with tickets and 2 popcorns and drinks, or the $30 for the babysitter, no, on the way home I hit a giant motherfucking racoon, at least a foot and a half feet high at 110 km/h on the 403 outside Brantford. No time to swerve, it stopped and turned around so hitting the brakes didn’t do much - I could have maybe swerved to the left more to avoid it but if I hit it on the front tire, being so fucking huge I knew we’d lose it at that speed, so I corrected and we hit it just in front of the right tire. It smashed through my fog light, bounced under Heather’s seat, slammed under the left back side of the car. I killed that fucker dead, which is some solace. I managed to keep driving ’til the exit, and then we had to pull two pieces of plastic hanging down in front. We were able to drive it home. No imbalances or pulls, I think they need to check the main fan though, sounds a little funny? Other piece in the front is hanging in mid-air. Hopefully no other damage underneath, won’t know ’til they put it on a hoist.
Mainly I’m glad I’m still here, I wouldn’t have wanted to hit that fucker with a compact or subcompact car. We didn’t get hurt: Cars can fixed.
So it was an expensive night out. I hope insurance will cover it sufficiently, past the $400 deductible. “
God, he kills me. Drives a jag!
